How To Do An Armpit Detox
The following are instructions on how to perform a detox on your armpits. If you have used commercial deodorant or antiperspirant, then you most likely have a build up of toxic chemicals in your skin. This includes aluminum, formaldehyde, phthalates, and antibacterial substances. Though not necessary, you may wish to do a detox to make the process of switching to natural deodorant easier.

Combine the ingredients listed below in a glass bowl using a wooden or plastic spoon (don't use metal) until about the consistency of sour cream. Spread evenly over armpits and allow to sit for 5-20 minutes. Start with shorter periods at first, then move up to 20 minutes or more while your body adjusts. If you feel any pain, remove immediately.
Some redness is normal as this increases the blood flow to the area. It will disappear quickly.
Wash off in shower or with a warm wet cloth. Repeat daily or as needed until your body adjusts to the natural deodorant. Allow atleast one week for your armpit detox. Ridding yourself of toxic chemicals and not applying anymore to your skin will be well worth it.
