Bentonite clay is a natural clay that is formed from volcanic ash.  It has a soft, fine texture and is usually grey or cream in color.  Bentonite clay is rich in nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, silica, sodium, copper, iron and potassium.  It is a wonderful detoxifier and powerfully absorbent, removing toxins and dirt from your skin.  This makes it excellent for treating oily skin and acne.

No only does bentonite clay provide these benefits when added to soap, but it also  provides a very nice 'slip' to the soap.  This makes it perfect for adding to shaving soaps as it helps the razor to glide over the skin.  It also gives soap a nice grey color.

Summary of benefits:

  • Removes toxins
  • Treats oily skin & acne
  • Provides a nice 'slip' to soap
  • Rich in nutrients
